29. Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
Los Angeles, California
Capacity: 93,607
Record attendance: 104,953, in a 1947 game between the USC Trojans and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
What makes it great: The Coliseum plays host to the USC Trojans, and has done so since 1923. It also hosted the UCLA Bruins between 1923 and 1981. In 1981, the Bruins moved out and relocated their home field to the Rose Bowl.
Aside from Trojan and Bruin games, the Coliseum has also hosted Major League Baseball games, Olympic games, and NFL games. It`s also appeared in countless TV shows and movies over the years thanks to its proximity to Hollywood.
Greatest game played: Notre Dame and USC have played almost every year since 1926, with Notre Dame holding a 45-35-5 all-time lead. In 2006, the 10-1 sixth-ranked Fighting Irish came to Los Angeles to face the third ranked and 10-1 Trojans. USC quarterback John David Booty and wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett overwhelmed the Notre Dame defense en route to a 44-24 Trojan win. USC finished the 2006 season ranked fourth in the nation with an 11-2 record.
