Gallman broke out in his freshman season at Clemson, rushing for 769 yards and four touchdowns last season. All of that was with senior Cole Stoudt. With a healthy Deshaun Watson under center – instead of a more average Stoudt – Gallman should improve upon his already solid rookie campaign. Watson helps spread the defense a lot more than Stoudt does, as he is deadly with his arm and legs.
Gallman should be able to take advantage of Watson leading the offense, as Clemson could very well become a two-headed monster: dominant in the rushing game and passing game.
With a dual-threat quarterback that has the ability to pass as well as Watson does, Gallman should be able to find open holes and catch the defense surprised at times. He is the main source of production at the running back position for Clemson and will see plenty of opportunities in the upcoming season.
