5. Saturday, November 21: Duke at Virginia
Duke will be on the road late in the season, as they take on their division rivals in the Virginia Cavaliers.
With junior Greyson Lambert heading to Georgia, Virginia will rely on sophomore Matt Johns to lead Virginia over Duke. Though Johns served as a backup to Lambert in 2014, he did get a lot of looks under center, including his start against Duke. He completed 49 percent of his passes for 325 yards and a touchdown. There is no doubt Johns has potential and could become a reliable starter for Virginia.
Virginia’s run game lost their top two rushers – Kevin Parks and Khalek Shepherd – to graduation. However, former four-star recruit Taquan Mizzell will finally get his opportunity to step up in the spotlight. Mizzell rushed for 280 yards and two touchdowns in 2014. He also caught 39 receptions for 271 yards. Mizzell has potential to become a huge part of this Cavaliers offense in 2015.
An intra-division game on the road is a must-win for Duke if they wish to compete for the ACC crown and finish yet another season above .500.
