Career Record (187-94-1)

Almost no one has done it better, or longer, than Kansas State Coach Bill Snyder. The Wildcats are almost always in contention for the Big 12 Title, regardless of whom they have lining up to play

Snyder is one of college football’s greatest coaches. He started as a grad assistant at USC and then worked under Hayden Fry as his offensive coordinator at the University of Iowa. Snyder was first hired by the Wildcats in 1989 and served as head coach until 2005. He retired from coaching after two very disappointing seasons in ’04 and ’05, but then returned to the “Little Apple” in 2009.

Snyder has still been able to sustain success since rejoining the Wildcats. He’s taken his team to a bowl game every year since 2010, and has always been competitive in the Big 12.

Kansas State has never been huge players in recruiting, but Snyder has always been able to develop talent. NFL stars Terrence Newman, Darren Sproles, and Jordy Nelson all played under Snyder. Much unlike any other college football coach, Bill Snyder has a unique ability for developing talent.

2015 will be an interesting year for Kansas State. They lost star receiver Tyler Lockett and will be relying on a brand new quarterback, Joe Hubener. However with Snyder’s history, no one should be surprised to see this team win games.
