5. Mike Gundy – Oklahoma State Cowboys

Career Record (84-44)

Mike Gundy has had 9 winning seasons during his 10-year tenure with Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are never an easy game for anyone in the Big 12. Equipped with a fast-paced spread offense, the Cowboys can score from anywhere on the field.

Gundy has sent superstars like Dez Bryant to the NFL and even produced two-time Biletnikoff winner Justin Blackmon.

In his earlier years, Mike Gundy worked as a quarterback’s coach for Baylor. He decided to move on and applied for the head coaching job at Oklahoma State when it became available, but was added on as an offensive coordinator under Les Miles instead. However, the job was his after Miles left for LSU, and despite multiple job offers each offseason, Gundy has stayed.

As a former Oklahoma State quarterback, Gundy has always paid special attention to the offense. The Cowboys are usually near the top of every offensive category, except for last year. Hopefully an energized team will recoup and continue the success that Gundy has enjoyed over the past few years.
