For our Day 1 post, we thought there would be no better way to tie it in than for a group of Saturday Blitz staff writers and editors to make their predictions for the playoffs, the national championship game, and then the final number one team in the nation.
Keep in mind these are preseason predictions, and a lot can change between now and January, but our writers have done some deep research, tried (as best they could) to put personal feelings and allegiances aside, and make some objective picks.
It should come as no surprise that Ohio State was the overwhelming favorite to win it all again this year, and there was also a lot of love given to TCU and Alabama.
Here are the picks, let the bandwagoning and trolling begin.
