Michael is one of Blitz’s Big 12 writers, and has oddly left that conference out of his picks, leaning towards Boise State to finally break through in the playoffs and knock a Power-5 conference out of contention.

Four Playoff Teams: Ohio State, Stanford, Boise State, Texas A&M
National Championship Game: Ohio State vs. Texas A&M
National Champion: Ohio State

"“No one has as much elite talent as Ohio State. They will overcome early season suspensions and a season-ending loss to Michigan to win the Big Ten championship game and advance to the playoffs. Kevin Sumlin finally has enough depth on defense to stand up to fellow SEC stalwarts Alabama and LSU. No one will be able to slow down the Aggies’ wide receivers as they lead an explosive offense to an SEC championship game victory over Tennessee. Ohio State will beat Stanford and Texas A&M will beat an upstart Boise State team that crashed the playoff party by being the only undefeated team in the country. Ohio State will rely on their playoff experience and depth of talent to outlast the Aggies 38-34 in the CFB playoff championship game.”"
