Big Ten Football 2015: Ranking the schedules

9. Penn State Nittany Lions
I would normally hammer Penn State for failing to schedule anyone of significance out of conference in 2015. I’ve always admired PSU for standing up against the likes of Alabama, USC, Nebraska and Miami down through the years. Penn State is known for scheduling premier out of conference games.
Considering the recent plight of the program in the midst of the Jerry Sandusky scandal and expected ruin caused by scholarship reductions, bowl ban and public disgrace, I will give Penn State a break. Temple, Buffalo, San Diego State and Army make up the non-conference slate. Penn State faces a manageable two-game Western Division series vs the state of Illinois vs the Illini and Wildcats.
Penn State plays in the East so there are no light touches to be found outside of Indiana and the Hoosiers actually knocked off the Nittany Lions two years ago and gave Penn State a 13-7 game in 2014.
Next: Ohio State
