Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams suffered a scary injury when he hit hit the padding on the goal post and a stretcher came out as medical personnel came to check on the talented pass-catcher.
Much of the talk surrounding the Clemson Tigers this year was about the health of sophomore quarterback and preseason ACC player of the year Deshaun Watson as he recovers from an ACL tear and an injury-plagued freshman year.
However, Clemson now has to worry about the health of Watson’s top target after wide receiver Mike Williams attempted to make a catch in the end zone and landed into the goal post

For a few moments Clemson fans had to hold their breath as they waited to see sign of movement from Williams’ extremities after the awkward impact into the goal post, but thankfully, Williams was moving his hands, arms and legs as trainers attended to him while a stretcher and cart came out.
Williams is moving all of his extremities, but they are definitely preparing him for neck protocols.

The play was ruled a touchdown after review as Clemson got on the board, but Williams was strapped to the stretcher and carted off the field. He waved to the fans as he left the field in an encouraging sign as his teammates surrounded him with love.
