Ole Miss 300-pound DT Robert Nkemdiche catches 31-yard TD (Video)

Ole Miss defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche decided to play some fullback for the Rebels in their opener and scored a 31-yard TD like he’s some offensive star now.

Robert Nkemdiche was the nation’s No. 1 recruit three years ago as a defensive end who also played some running back for his high school team.

Heck, Nkemdiche even got a few carries as a freshman for the Rebels, so he’s got some skill position left in him despite being 6-4, 296 pounds.

In the Rebels opener against UT Martin, Nkemdiche showed he’s still got some moves in the open field and some nice hands with a 31-yard touchdown reception where no one even touched him en route to the end zone. It’s rather disappointing to be honest, because I wanted to see him bully his way up the field like a runaway train.

Check this kid out as he nonchalantly strolls into the end zone like he’s not a 300-pound defensive tackle.

Ole Miss is not having any trouble with UT Martin, nor should they considering they are an FCS opponent, so maybe we’ll see some offensive linemen start throwing passes or Nkemdiche running the wildcat because why not?
