Braxton Miller looks to be handling the transition to wide receiver pretty well.
The Ohio State quarterback competition was center stage in college football this offseason with Braxton Miller, JT Barrett and Cardale Jones giving Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes an embarrassment of riches at the position.
But then the three-man competition turned to a two-man competition went to a two-man one after Miller shifted to wide receiver/h-back voluntarily as he recovered from a second shoulder surgery and wouldn’t be healthy to play quarterback in his fifth and final year of eligibility.
There was little question about Miller’s athleticism and ability to make defenders miss and pick up yards with his feet, but does he have the hands to be a great receiver?
Well, you tell me.
Check out his first catch. A diving one at that.
Miller shows he’s got the hands to be a top target for Cardale Jones, who won the starting job, and for Barrett who is still expected to get some time. The catch had even had LeBron James commenting on the move to wide receiver.
The fact Braxton at WR is so dope!! Well u can play him anywhere on offense. #GoBucks

On the very next play, Miller lined up in the shotgun formation and took a direct snap and ran for a few yards so good luck to defenses trying to slow down the Buckeye offense this year with a two-time Big Ten Player of the Year lining up all over the field, a Heisman candidate in Ezekiel Elliott, two quarterbacks who could win the Heisman and so much speed on the perimeter.
