Idaho Vandals at USC Trojans
Los Angeles, California
The Line: USC -43.5
The opening week stomping of Arkansas State has plenty of people fired up about the Trojan season, but in reality neither that game nor this one will tell us much. Week 3 sees the Stanford Cardinal come to town, and that game will be the first real test. In the meantime, players and boosters can enjoy another blowout. Catch this game on the Pac-12 Network at 5:00PM, pacific time, on Saturday.
Keys To The Game:
Idaho is not a good program. The Vandals won just one game last year and they started their 2015 season with a blowout loss to the Ohio Bobcats. Look for this game to be over early. USC finally have the depth that their starters can play only a half and still keep the pressure on their opponents. Look for the back-ups to pile on the points in the second half to impress the playoff committee.
Prediction:
USC beat the Arkansas State Red Wolves 55-6 in week 1, which gives a margin of victory of 49 points. The Red Wolves are probably a better team and a better program than Idaho, so I would expect an even bigger blowout in week 2. 43 points will not help you if you take the Vandals, as USC might eclipse that by halftime.
