Week 1 is in the books and the 2015 SEC football season is in full gear with another full slate of games. We make ten Week 2 SEC predictions against the spread.
After a long off-season, we finally had a full weekend of college football that stretched from Thursday night to Monday across the nation. In SEC Country, every team was in action – though we only got a glimpse of LSU before the lightning cancelled the Tigers’ season opener – and everything went largely as expected. In fact, our weekly picks were 11-0 straight up because every favorite won outright.

Thursday, South Carolina held on for an ugly victory and a close cover, and Vanderbilt lost ugly, but covered as well. Saturday, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Arkansas looked great while Auburn, Mississippi State and Tennessee won in less than spectacular fashion. Overall, we were 8-3 against the number, and if you took our advice, you have a little extra spending money heading into Week 2.
The most important part of this exercise is to predict the outcome of each SEC football game against the spread, however, because we also list a projected final score, we’ll tally the over/under for the season as well.
- 2015 Straight Up: 11-0 (1.000)
- 2015 Against the Spread: 8-3 (.727)
- 2015 Over/Under: 5-6 (.456)
- Last Week Straight Up: 11-0 (1.000)
- Last Week Against the Spread: 8-3 (.727)
- Last Week Over/Under: (.456)
Looking ahead to this week’s match-ups, only Auburn plays a FCS opponent, and we’ve got our first three conference games of the season: Georgia at Vanderbilt, Kentucky at South Carolina and LSU at Mississippi State. That means there are ten games to pick, and without further ado, here are our Week 2 SEC predictions against the spread.
