Florida fan spreads ashes at feet of Tim Tebow statue (Photo)
Fan is short for fanatic and one Florida is example of that after spreading some ashes at the feet of the Tim Tebow statue outside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Tim Tebow is a beloved member of the Florida Gators community and will forever be remembered for his four years, two national championships, one Heisman Trophy and a lifetime worth of memories from his time in Gainesville.

He’s also honored with his very own statue outside the stadium in Gainesville and for one Florida fan, that statue was the place where one loved one wanted their ashes scattered, apparently, because, umm, well, I’m not sure.
But according to ESPN blogger Andrea Adelson, that’s what happened today when a fan spread ashes at the feet of the Tebow statue. It’s so out there that I can’t even make this one up.
So I guess there’s a first for everything.
Then again, I understand why someone would want to have their remains scattered next to a holy deity like Tebow who is the closest thing we’ve seen to the return of the Messiah.
What would you do if you had a loved one tell you they wanted their remains scattered at the Tebow statue? Do you do it and honor their last wish? Do you roll your eyes and tell them they’re crazy or do you say you’ll do it and then not go through with it? I mean, they’re dead so they won’t know.
Chalk this one up for the weirdest story of the day/week/month.
