Late Friday, the Virginia Tech Hokies unveiled their uniforms for their “White Out” game Saturday against FCS Furman. Along with the White Out, they will also be celebrating military appreciation.

The uniform will consist of white helmets with a maroon touch on the bottom that then fades to orange. It will also include an orange Virginia Tech logo per Evan G. Watkins of 247Sports.

This will also include white pants and thanks to the folks on the Beamer Ball Instagram account, we are able to take a look at these pretty slick uniforms.

The Hokies will kick off against Furman at 3:30 pm on ESPN3 as they try to obtain a win without one of their biggest stars in quarterback Michael Brewer, who suffered a broken collarbone against the Buckeyes Monday and after undergoing a successful surgery will miss 4-8 weeks.

These uniforms are certainly impressive to say the least. In particular, I like how the logo pops out from the helmet and is able to still incorporate the Virginia Tech colors while adding the white. White uniforms have always looked sharp and it seems as though they are becoming more common, which is not a bad thing in my opinion.

The Hokies hope that the uniforms will help them continue their success against Furman, whom they beat 24-7 in Blacksburg in 2008, the last meeting between the two programs. Frank Beamer’s troops lead the all-time series 5-0 and the Paladins led by quarterback Michael Hannon hope to change that. They lost a close contest to Coastal Carolina last Saturday and are looking to obtain their first win of the season.
