Last week: Beat South Carolina 26-22
Last rank: 13th

For the first time since 2009, the Kentucky Wildcats won a road game against a conference opponent. With a 26-22 victory over South Carolina in Columbia, the Cats snapped a 22-game losing streak on opponent’s home fields.

Like they did in Week 1 against Louisiana-Lafayette, Kentucky jumped out to a great start. UK led 24-7 at halftime and accumulated 307 total yards in the first half, but had to hold on for dear life in the second half. In the fourth quarter, after South Carolina scored a touchdown to close the gap to 24-22, the Wildcats stuffed Pharoh Cooper short of the goal line, which resulted in a fumble that Denzil Ware picked up and ran 98 yards the other way for two points and the final 26-22 margin.
