It’s going to take more of an effort from others on the offense besides Justin Switzer and Quinshad Davis and might have found that person in receiver Bug Howard who has posted the best numbers on the team with eight receptions, 151 yards, and a single touchdown.

If the offense can put the points on the board, I have no doubt that defense, which is relatively stout, can eliminate any great threat that they oppose, I say that loosely keeping in mind future games against Georgia Tech and NC State on the docket, those will serve as the true tests to that defense.

Looking at next week, North Carolina welcomes Illinois to Chapel Hill and Kenan Memorial Stadium. This should be a good game for Marquise Williams to flex his muscles a bit along with the rest of the offense. North Carolina takes this game with relative ease 44-17.

North Carolina Tar Heels (1-1)

Last week: W 53-14 North Carolina A&T
Last rank: 9th

North Carolina is a team that is so close to making a push up but is in need of that one victory to solidify them in doing so. They have all the pieces in place to have that great season, but after a week one loss to South Carolina 17-13, it set them back just a tad. Not a good look for the Tar Heels is that after the loss to South Carolina, the Gamecocks dropped their game to Kentucky this week and fell to 1-1 on the season after a below-average showing.

Nonetheless, UNC is still a pretty good team. Quarterback Marquise Williams turned in an efficient performance after settling in this week against North Carolina A&T with 211 yards passing going 15-of-20 through the air with two scores and chipped in 53 yards on the ground with another trip across the goal line.
