Overall, the Huskies are in a pretty good position now. A few tough games remain for the Huskies, including the game against number one Ohio State next week. The Huskies will need to have a better defensive performance to be competitive, but the offense should put up at least two scores against the Buckeyes.

Northern Illinois Huskies (W vs Murray State 57-26)

Northern Illinois had a better game this week, as opposed to last week. UNLV kept up with the Huskies for much of the game last week, which NIU won 38-30. This week’s game was against the Murray State Racers.

The Huskies were able to pull together a complete offensive performance and made big plays on the defensive side. Murray State turned the ball over three times (on interceptions) and Mayomi Olootu returned one 45 yards for a score. Huskies quarterback Drew Hare had none and threw four touchdowns and 358 yards passing yards. Overall, the Husky’s offense put up 643 yards and the defense kept Murray State to 373 yards.
