Utah Utes At Fresno State Bulldogs

Fresno, California

The Line: Pick’em(has moved/been corrected to Utah -15)

Utah has to be licking their chops with the Fresno State defense they’ll see this weekend after the Bulldogs gave up more than 70 points last week to Ole Miss but could have questions about their own quarterback to be concerned about.

Keys To The Game:

Fresno State gave up over 600 yards to Ole Miss in week two, while they struggled holding on to the ball. The Bulldogs threw three interceptions and lost a fumble. If they have any hope of staying in the game against Utah, they will have to limit their mistakes. The Utes have a ball-hawking secondary and one of the best front sevens in the nation. Fresno State’s offense is dead meat if their quarterbacks, Chason Virgil and company, start throwing the ball to the wrong team.

The Prediction:

Utah uses a strong running game and a stout defense to win in unspectacular fashion for a third straight week. Fresno State keeps it close, but ultimately they cannot move the ball when they have to, and while the victory against the spread is in doubt, at no point does any of the viewers of this game actually think the Bulldogs might pull the upset. In the end, the Utes both win and cover. The final score? Utah 27, Fresno State 6.
