The 2015 SEC Football season is heating up with four conference games on tap this week. We make our SEC predictions for Week 3, picking games against the spread.

Another week of the college football season is in the books, and the Saturday Blitz SEC predictions against the spread cashed in with a second straight winning weekend.

More from Alabama Crimson Tide

We picked a lot of underdogs last week – and it paid off. Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee, Arkansas State and East Carolina all kept their games close enough, and Kentucky pulled out an upset straight up on the road. We also picked Texas A&M to cover, and they came through.

On the other side, Tennessee couldn’t hold on against Oklahoma, Ole Miss demolished Fresno State and Arkansas – inexplicably – lost to Toledo in Little Rock. Luckily we don’t pick games against FCS opponents, or there would have been one more in the loss column as Auburn struggled terribly with Jacksonville State.

But, as it stands, we’re 15-6 against the number through the first two weeks of the season following last week’s 7-3 record.

  • 2015 Straight Up: 18-3 (.857)
  • 2015 Against the Spread: 15-6 (.714)
  • 2015 Over/Under: 13-8 (.619)
  • Last Week Straight Up: 7-3 (.700)
  • Last Week Against the Spread: 7-3 (.700)
  • Last Week Over/Under: 8-2 (.800)

Because Mississippi State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt each play FCS opponents this week and there are four conference games on tap, we only have seven games to pick. Still, there is plenty of opportunity for action.

On the non-conference slate, Missouri hosts Connecticut, Texas A&M faces Nevada and Arkansas squares off with a high-powered Texas Tech squad. Not surprisingly, all three are heavy favorites. In conference play, Auburn aims to right the ship and pick up a rare win in Baton Rouge, Georgia and South Carolina clash in Athens, Florida travels to Kentucky with a helluva long winning streak on the line, and Ole Miss and Alabama meet in Tuscaloosa.

So, who will win, who will lose, and who will cover? We predict Week 3 of the SEC football schedule against the spread.
