Ole Miss with the luckiest, craziest TD of the year vs. Alabama (Video)
Sometimes you’re the beneficiary of some good fortune and that’s what happened with Ole Miss on the play that is easily the play of the year in college football.
Chad Kelly must have said his prayers at halftime because the Ole Miss quarterback is playing a blessed game against the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa tonight.

In a play that is easily the most crazy thing you’ve see on the gridiron this year, so far, Kelly corrals the ball after the snap after an unfortunate bounce, chucked it to Laquon Treadwell, the ball is deflected and falls into the waiting arms of Quincy Adeboyejo for a Rebel touchdown to extend their lead to 24-10.
Check out the vine of the play from Bleacher Report’s Barrett Sallee.
This brought back memories of the “Prayer in Jordan Hare” from two years ago when Georgie deflected the pass into the waiting arms of an Auburn receiver to score the game-winning touchdown in the waning seconds of their game.
Auburn would go on to have another blessed play with the infamous Kick-Six to beat Alabama in the Iron Bowl en route to the BCS National Championship Game.
Could Ole Miss follow a similar blessed path to the Playoff?
