College Football Rankings: Projecting the Top 25 for Week 4

Projecting the Top 25 for Week 4 after what was a crazy week of college football that saw a serious shake-up inside the top 10.

The Ohio State Buckeyes looked sloppy and make a change at quarterback, benching Cardale Jones and going back to J.T. Barrett who was the starter last year until he was hurt in the regular season finale.

But they won’t drop from the top spot despite a 20-13 win against Northern Illinois. They’ll likely lose more than the two first-place votes they lost last week, but remain at the top.

With Alabama losing to Ole Miss, we will have a new No. 2 again this year with TCU moving back to the spot they had in to start the year and the Michigan State Spartans, Baylor Bears and the Ole Miss Rebels, who beat Alabama round out the projected top five for Week 4.

I have four SEC teams inside the top 10 after LSU and Georgia had impressive showings and Alabama sliding eight spots to No. 10. BYU and Auburn dropped out of the rankings after losses to LSU and UCLA, respectively.

Let’s check out how I predict the rest of the Top 25 will look come Sunday afternoon.
