Group of Five Power Rankings, Week 3: Temple, Boise State vie for No. 1 spot

It wasn’t the best week for Group of Five teams, but a few teams still made some noise.
Northern Illinois fell short in a big time match, but a number of teams had some noteworthy wins. Navy makes its debut here in the rankings after a solid 2-0 start to the 2015 season. They are now in the American Athletic Conference and have tough games ahead, such as Notre Dame.

A number of one-loss teams from the Group of Five didn’t make the top 19, and by this time chances are that the top Group of Five team of the year will be one of the teams listed in the spots below. A couple teams still have a possible shot at making the College Football Playoff, but things are looking bleak.
There is a tier system starting to develop through three weeks but there’s still a lot of fluidity to the bottom six and the first two teams who missed the cut but the top four could see any of those teams rise to the top spot by by Halloween and it wouldn’t be a surprise.
Boise State started the season in the top spot so we’ve already had a shake up at the top spot after they lost to BYU but now the Broncos are facing more adversity with the loss of quarterback Ryan Finley. How much will this hurt Boise State in this week’s Group of Five power rankings?
