The 2015 college football season rolls on as ten SEC opponents square off with one another. We make our Week 4 SEC predictions for every game against the spread.

We failed you last week. For the first time this season, the weekly Saturday Blitz SEC predictions against the spread came in under .500, and well under .500 by dropping five of seven picks against the number.

We weren’t even very good straight up, picking just four games correctly. We took Auburn, Arkansas and Alabama to win straight up (but Ole Miss to cover against the Tide), and thought Missouri, Texas A&M, Kentucky and South Carolina would cover, but only the Aggies came through.

Of course, on the heels of last week’s results, it is a very good time to remember that the college football season (and any wagering one chooses to partake in along the way) is a marathon and not a sprint. Anything over .550 is profitable, and .600 is the goal, so it’s important not to get too high or too low because of one week’s performance.

  • 2015 Straight Up: 22-6 (.786)
  • 2015 Against the Spread: 17-11 (.607)
  • 2015 Over/Under: 17-11 (.607)
  • Last Week Straight Up: 4-3 (.571)
  • Last Week Against the Spread: 2-5 (.286)
  • Last Week Over/Under: 4-3 (.571)

That said, we take these things seriously, and we plan to get back in the groove with a winning weekend in Week 4. There are eight games on tap featuring FBS opponents, including five SEC matchups (Georgia hosts Southern, which we won’t pick), so there’s plenty of action again this week. Who will win and who will cover? Let’s take a look at this week’s SEC predictions against the spread.
