SEC Football Viewing Guide: How to watch the Week 4 games

Week 3 was great but there is no time to rest on our laurels. Not sure what laurels are? Me either, but I do know it is time for more football so we have provided you with an SEC football viewing guide.

What a week of college football Week 3 gave us. However, that was last week and there is no time to ease into this week’s slate of games as a number of teams have early kicks.

More from Alabama Crimson Tide

As a refresher, all game times are central time and when multiple games are on at the same time, we use the term “second screen” for the games that may not deserve the main television, but are worthy of the use of your phone, laptop or tablet.

11:00 AM CT: No. 8 LSU vs. Syracuse, ESPN

Don’t look now but Syracuse is 3-0. Oh, you weren’t looking? That’s okay, but just wanted you to be aware that Syracuse has actually played good football early in the season. Let’s be honest, this game is another excuse to watch Leonard Fournette have no regard for the rest of humanity.

Last week, we all saw Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp figuratively explode on the sidelines as Fournette ran over every single Auburn defender. You get to start your Saturday with more of the same.

Second Screen: South Carolina takes on UCF at the same time on ESPNU. As an alumnus of UCF, I wish I had better news about this game. Both teams are in disarray and Steve Spurrier may head to his tee time during the third quarter of this one. South Carolina will start Lorenzo Nunez at quarterback so that could be interesting. Watch this game and feel sorry for me. I need your support during these trying times.

Southern and No. 7 Georgia also play at the same time on the SEC Network. If nothing else, it is an opportunity to watch Nick Chubb again. You might need a refresher on Georgia before they play Alabama next week.

2:30 PM CT: Tennessee vs. Florida, CBS

This is the marquee matchup of the day. This used to be one of the best rivalries in college football, but both teams fell out of relevance in recent times. However, Tennessee has looked good this year and has real potential to end their losing streak to Florida on Saturday.

Second Screen: At 3:00 PM, Louisiana Monroe heads to Tuscaloosa to take on No. 12 Alabama on the SEC Network. We are also calling this the “R.I.P. Louisiana Monroe” game. Alabama is coming off a loss to Ole Miss and the entire team is going to be in a bad mood. This is really bad news for Louisiana Monroe.

6:00 PM CT: No. 14 Texas A&M vs. Arkansas, ESPN

Hopefully, the Tennessee and Florida game leaves you with enough time to stretch your legs, walk the dog and/or have a conversation with your significant other. Your night is now full with SEC football. There are worse things, right?

Is it just me or are the Aggies flying under the radar this season? It probably does not help that they have played Ball State and Nevada the past two games, but this game returns them back to the national stage they were on after their Week 1 defeat of Arizona State. Bret Bielema is also happening so there’s that.

Second Screen: Vanderbilt heads to Oxford to play Ole Miss on ESPNU. Will there be a let down for the Rebels after the high of their Tuscaloosa win? We shall see, but it is a night game in Oxford so that helps Ole Miss.

Auburn hosts Mississippi State at 6:30 PM on ESPN 2 as the Sean White era begins for the Tigers. Finally, No. 25 Missouri takes on Kentucky on the SEC Network at 6:30 PM as well in a sneaky good matchup. It could turn out to be the best game of the night.

There you have it, your entire Saturday is now planned. We hope you enjoy another great week of college football.
