Auburn and Arkansas both lost again, and the Razorbacks and Tigers are fighting it out for last place in our Week 5 SEC power rankings.

It’s safe to say that Auburn and Arkansas are not who we thought they were just a few weeks ago.

Both the Tigers and Razorbacks entered the 2015 season riding a wave of off-season momentum, and both were expected to compete for the SEC Western division title. But after four games, both teams are free falling and neither team looks like they will be playing in a bowl game, much less the SEC Championship Game.

That means Auburn and Arkansas are in danger of doing something that appeared impossible: unseating Vanderbilt for the No. 14 spot in our weekly SEC power rankings.

And when two teams go down, two others must come up. Or something like that.

Texas A&M survived and Mississippi State picked up a very important win, and the Aggies and Bulldogs meet next week in College Station. Last season, A&M was rising high (5-0 and ranked No. 6 in the nation) before traveling to Starkville and getting drilled 48-31 in the first of three consecutive losses.

Though they still have some weapons, including Dak Prescott and De’Runnya Wilson, State doesn’t have the firepower they had in 2014. On the other hand, the Aggies seem to be better on both sides of the football, so it should be an exciting clash.

Elsewhere, Ole Miss struggled to put away Vanderbilt, and may have lost a grip on the top spot in the Week 5 SEC Power Rankings. LSU and Georgia each made their case for No. 1, Kentucky and Florida are on the rise, and Tennessee may soon be joining Auburn and Arkansas at the kid’s table.

With Week 5 looming, we rank every SEC football team 1-14.
