Boise State has lost its starting quarterback but that hasn’t stopped the Broncos from being the best from the Group of Five in this week’s power rankings.
We are one month through the season and for the second time this season, the Boise State Broncos are the top team from the Group of Five. The Broncos lost starting quarterback Ryan Finley but true freshman Brett Rypien has stepped in and played well in relief.

Boise State fell out of the top spot after their loss to BYU in Week 2, but they are once again a force to be reckoned with and their grip on the top spot may only be strengthened in the month of October. Boise State is back in the top spot as they moved past the Temple Owls who were off this week. Temple has a chance to get back to the top spot if they can upset Notre Dame who comes to their place on Halloween.
Those two are among the six undefeated teams remaining from the Group of Five with the majority of those teams hailing from the American Athletic Conference.
You know who occupies the top two spots, but before revealing the rest of the top 10, Bowling Green, East Carolina and Cincinnati just missed the cut.
