Best college football bets for Week 5. Looking to improve on a 7-1 stretch in the last two weeks.
Last week I finished a perfect 3-0 and now 7-1 the last two weeks with the best bets.
I won with two underdogs in the afternoon games. Ohio and Middle Tennessee State didn’t win but both covered and had leads late in the fourth quarter. Kentucky and Missouri easily went below the total. They probably could’ve played a fifth quarter and the game would’ve stayed under.

I’m on a good run but understand how things can change quickly. I circled about 10 games when I looked up the lines on Sunday and Monday but trimmed it to my four best bets.
I was tempted to take Oklahoma to cover a touchdown spread against a West Virginia team who hasn’t played anyone this year. I would’ve pulled the trigger if the Sooners weren’t on a bye last week.
Northwestern opened as a 6.5-point favorite against Minnesota. I would’ve been inclined to take the underdog if the line didn’t fall to close to a field goal.
Also thought about the over/under point totals in the Washington State-California and Michigan-Maryland game but the line moved too far.
We’ll start off the best bets with an early Big Ten West game. Hopefully you’ll have a winner by lunch or brunch, depending on what part of the country you live in.
