Ohio State to wear all-black uniforms vs Penn State (Photo)
The Ohio State Buckeyes will have a bold look when they take on the Penn State Nittany Lions later this month.
Alternate uniforms are all the rage in college football with some schools having enough uniform combinations to wear something different each game and never repeat. The Ohio State Buckeyes are not one of those schools, preferring to wear their iconic scarlet and gray uniforms, but they will have a new look for the Oct. 17 game against Penn State.
Ohio State unveiled an all-black uniform and helmet with a red and white stripe down the pants, shoulders and down the middle of the helmet and it looks pretty intimidating.
And for a closer look at the new look, you can check out some more pictures here, including the jerseys and other merchandise that will be for sale during the Oct. 17 game against the Nittany Lions.
Something tells me Ohio State and Nike are going to make a lot of money with this uniform look, because it’s badass.
I tend to be against alternate uniforms and favor traditional looks in most cases but this all-black uniform is a look that I love and think Ohio State should break it out at least once a year or at least keep it in rotation and wear it now and then, because it looks awesome.
