There’s a revolving door atop our weekly SEC Power Rankings, and with huge victories, the Florida Gators and Alabama Crimson Tide each make claims for the No. 1 spot.

Through the first five weeks of the 2015 SEC football season, there is one thing we know: The SEC is up for grabs.

More from Alabama Crimson Tide

The Week 5 schedule was packed with important games, including three matchups featuring two teams ranked in the Top 25.

Alabama, on the road in Athens for the first time since 2008 and an underdog for the first time since the 2009 SEC Championship Game, and facing likely elimination in both the SEC and national championship races with a loss, dominated Georgia 38-10 to prove the Crimson Tide is still a forced to be reckoned with.

Ole Miss, the team that backed Alabama into that corner with a 43-37 victory in Tuscaloosa two weeks ago, had an opportunity to make a similar statement over an SEC East foe, but instead were blasted 38-10 by Florida in Gainesville. Now, the Gators are the only undefeated team left in the SEC East and picked up a huge victory over the third-ranked Rebels.

With LSU sleep-walking through the first half of a glorified scrimmage with Eastern Michigan, it’s a three-team race for the No. 1 spot in our weekly SEC Power Rankings. Well, make that a four-team race. In the third meeting of ranked conference rivals Saturday, Texas A&M beat Mississippi State 30-17 in a tale of two halves that first featured an explosive offense, then displayed a no-nonsense defense.

Are the Aggies now the team to beat in the SEC West? Does LSU get a pass for the Tigers’ lackluster performance? Is Florida for real? And is Alabama forgiven for their early season hiccup? In an effort to make sense of Week 5, the first five weeks, and prepare for yet another important weekend of must-win games next Saturday, we rank each member of the Southeastern Conference from 14 to 1.
