Keys to Victory

For Ohio State to win this game they just need to play good football. Limit turnovers, limit penalties, maximize effort, and play sound fundamental football. Ohio State is too talented and coached to well to lose on homecoming weekend to an inferior team. The offense will lean on Ezekiel Elliott this week and put Cardale Jones in positions to succeed. I don’t expect to see a big difference in scheme but we may see a few new wrinkles. Possibly a J.T. Barrett sighting in the red-zone? Coach Meyer hinted about it so it may happen.

For Maryland to win this game it will take a miracle from the football Gods. Okay it may not be that extreme but it is close. Maryland will need Ohio State to regress even further to have a chance at winning. They will need their defense to get turnovers and offense to turn those into touchdowns. It is not completely impossible but it is close.

Prediction

Bottom line Ohio State has something to prove this week. Maryland is in free fall right now and their season is essentially over. Ohio State will come out and show why they are the top team in the country and jump on early and often. The Terrapins are in danger of quitting on Randy Edsall and this may be the straw that breaks the turtles back. If I was a betting man I would bet the house on Ohio State this week.
