With just six games featuring SEC teams, it’s a relatively light week on the SEC football schedule. But our SEC picks against the spread roll on for Week 6.
College football is an unpredictable animal, though we try our best to tame it each week.

Last Saturday, there were three SEC games that featured two ranked opponents. Few expected Alabama to completely dominate Georgia in Athens last Saturday, and even fewer expected Florida would beat Ole Miss by the same 38-10 score. Texas A&M beat Mississippi State in the night-cap, and when the dust settled, we finished 2-1 in the biggest games of the weekend in our weekly conference predictions, and 5-3 overall thanks to Missouri, Eastern Michigan and Vanderbilt’s covers.
- 2015 Straight Up: 32-12 (.727)
- 2015 Against the Spread: 27-16 (.628)
- 2015 Over/Under: 26-17 (.605)
- Last Week Straight Up: 5-3 (.625)
- Last Week Against the Spread: 5-3 (.625)
- Last Week Over/Under: 4-4 (.500)
This week, there’s not a single Top 25 matchup. Four teams – Auburn and Kentucky, who play next Thursday, and Vanderbilt and Texas A&M – are out of action, Ole Miss and Mississippi State are each hosting opponents from the Sun Belt conference, which leaves just four conference games on tap this week. But, because of its unpredictability, there’s still plenty of opportunity for great games, and there’s still plenty of action for those that are looking for it.
Who will win and who will cover? We predict each SEC game against the spread for Week 6.
