Arizona safety Will Parks nearly decapitates Oregon State receiver (Video)

Arizona safety Will Parks giving us a “Hit of the Year” nomination after he delivered the BOOM to an Oregon State receiver.

Arizona was on cruise control for much of today, earning a win over the Oregon State Beavers by a final score of 44-7. Oregon State was down big since the opening minutes of this game, forcing Oregon State to become one-dimensional.

The defense for Arizona was lights out in the secondary, and Oregon State wasn’t working with on offense, with Seth Collins constantly on the run, and having to leave the game for a bit after suffering a knee injury in the first half.

The Arizona defense brought some vicious hits all day long, but there were none bigger than Arizona’s senior safety Will Parks’. On 3rd and long in the second quarter and the Cats up 20-7, Parks lit up the Oregon State receiver running across the field, who was slow to get up afterwards, understandably.

Parks has struggled a bit this season, but this hit should definitely give him some confidence as Arizona heads into the bulk of their Pac-12 schedule.

Arizona has struggled with injuries this year and as a result their win-loss record has suffered but don’t count out Rich Rodriguez and his club from making this Pac-12 South race a close one by the end of November.
