Clemson is in the process of defending their home turf against a reeling Georgia Tech squad, and started the game the right way with a huge touchdown run by running back Wayne Gallman.

The 66-yard touchdown run was set up by an excellent block by wide receiver Charone Peake, which allowed Gallman to get to the outside and burn the defense, not once getting touched in the process of scoring.
The quick strike had allowed the Tigers to go up on the Yellow Jackets 7-0, and after a quick defensive stand, Clemson was able to capitalize and extend their lead to 10 over Paul Johnson and the Ramblin’ Wreck.
Gallman’s run energized the entire team as well as the entire stadium and seemed to demoralize the Yellow Jackets. Defensively, they gave up another touchdown to Gallman on a one-yard run and later allowed a safety on a punt. As it stands now, Clemson leads Georgia Tech 19-3 at the end of the first quarter.
Gallman has 81 yards on seven carries with two touchdowns, but there may not be a better run he has all year than this one against Georgia Tech who may be the most overrated team in the country compared to their preseason rankings.
