Alabama, LSU and Florida are in a three-way race for the top spot in our SEC Power Rankings and set the stage for a huge Week 7.

Every week is important in the SEC, and though there weren’t many marquee matchups in Week 6, Alabama’s victory over Arkansas, LSU’s blowout victory against South Carolina, and Florida’s impressive performance against Missouri on the road sets up an absolutely huge slate of games in Week 7.

More from Alabama Crimson Tide

The Crimson Tide struggled early, but flexed their muscle in a dominant second half against the Razorbacks to carry momentum into next Saturday’s clash with Texas A&M in College Station. The Aggies, one of four teams with a bye week, have had seven extra days to prepare for the pivotal SEC West showdown. The winner of that game will take a huge step forward on the road to Atlanta, though they both must go through LSU to get there.

The Tigers took care of business Saturday in Baton Rouge in a surprise home game against South Carolina. That victory paved the way for an even bigger matchup between undefeated teams likely to be ranked among the top ten in the nation. Florida, who moved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in SEC play and opened a huge lead in the SEC East thanks to Georgia’s 38-31 loss to Tennessee (made even more disappointing by the injury to running back Nick Chubb), will make the trip to Tiger Stadium Saturday night.

Florida and LSU will be a cross-division clash between the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in our weekly SEC Power Rankings, but how does the rest of the conference shake out? Let’s count them down from 14 to 1.
