Colorado can hang their hat on the fact that they kept their game with Oregon close. Aside from that, this is a team that won’t be scaring folks across the Pac-12. If Colorado could have made their game vs Arizona State competitive, this would be promising for the Buffs. But they got down early and were never even in that game.
Now, the gap between Oregon State and Colorado is still fairly large, which keeps Colorado safe at 11 until either team gives a valid point to move them up or down.
Colorado just seems like one of those programs that will constantly be at the bottom of the Pac-12 South, a victim of the other top teams. Maybe they can steal a game from their Pac-12 North opponents, but it doesn’t seem like Colorado is poised for an upset win in 2015.
With a draw against Arizona, in Boulder, this could be a chance for the Buffs to make themselves seem worthy of the Pac-12 South competition. But with this talent level, and the remaining schedule for Colorado ahead, it’s plausible that the Buffaloes might not win another game this season, stuck at three wins.
