Washington State actually did it. And they might have saved Mike Leach’s job. This system is designed for Luke Falk to essentially throw his arm off, and he attempted 74 throws, completing 50 of them. Meanwhile, their leading rusher has just 68 yards.
Now, Oregon is bad, but Washington State might actually be a legitimate threat in the Pac-12. They used to be much like Colorado, but now they might actually have the potential to knock off some opponents and steal some wins here and there. And no matter how bad Oregon is, going into Eugene, and knocking out the Ducks in double overtime is still something quite impressive.
They have two very winnable games coming up with Oregon State and Arizona, which would put them at five wins on the season. Maybe they’re able to pull off another big win, but they’re looking at Colorado for that sixth win of the season, giving them bowl eligibility.
