Cal is still a good team, but they shown that they’re very vulnerable on many occasions. They needed their defense to come up big against both Washington and Washington State to seal the victory, and despite five interceptions from Jared Goff, the defense kept them in the game. Throwing five interceptions and still being in the game versus No. 5 team in the country is pretty telling of Utah. But, it also shows the competitive fire that California can bring if they’re in the situation.

Coming up they have very brutal schedule, but they should be able to manage it with the offense running under Jared Goff, given his improved decision makings after this past weekend.

They’re going to need to come up big in some key games this season if they want to compete with Stanford for the Pac-12 North . If all things go well, we may just have the Pac-12 North come down to the final game of the season when the two play each other.
