The ending to the Michigan-Michigan State game was so stressful it caused one spectator to suffer a heart attack on the final play.

A fan suffered a heart attack during the wild final play of the game between the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans, according to ESPN’s Dan Murphy.

Murphy tweets the fan is in stable condition and was taken to the hospital after the game, but according to Mlive.com, the 100,000-plus people in the Big House made it difficult for paramedics to find the person. Thankfully, the fan was located and transported to the hospital after the game and we hope a full recovery will be made.

Whether Michigan can recover is another story. The Wolverines discovered a new way to lose a game as they fell to Michigan State for the seventh time in the last eight games after punter Blake O’Neill fumbled with 10 seconds remaining and Jalen Watts-Jackson recovered and returned it for the game-winning touchdown as time expired.

Michigan State didn’t lead for one second of the game until the game was over in an odd sequence of events you wouldn’t believe if you didn’t see it. Michigan had the game won, all they had to do was field the snap and punt the ball to win the game.

It sounds simple and I’m sure Jim Harbaugh, the entire Michigan roster, fan base and even plenty of Michigan State fans likely thought the game was over. In fact, Michigan State only had a .02 percent chance of winning, according to ESPN before the final snap.
