Florida State RB Dalvin Cook has another 50-plus yard TD run (Video)

Dalvin Cook is pretty much the entire Florida State offense, but that may be enough against the Louisville Cardinals.

The Florida State Seminoles came out sluggish and didn’t look like one of the best teams in the country that their No. 11 ranking would suggest as they trailed the Louisville Cardinals 7-6 at halftime.

However, the second half is where Florida State has put away the competition this year and last year after some slow starts when they looked vulnerable to a potential upset.

The hopes of Florida State winning the ACC championship and getting back to the College Football Playoff rests on the legs of sophomore running back Dalvin Cook. The second-year rusher is very much in the Heisman conversation and will remain in the mix so long as he’s healthy.

On his second carry of the second half, Cook eluded the Louisville defense, who also apparently forgot how to tackle, as Cook darted his way into the end zone for a 54-yard touchdown to give Florida State a 13-7 lead.

The 54-yard run was his fifth run this year of at least 50 yards, which is the most in the FBS this year. Yes, even more than LSU running back Leonard Fournette.
