Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell throws TD on trick play (Video)
Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell is used to catching touchdowns but today he got to throw one.
Laquon Treadwell has been on the receiving end of several touchdowns during his career with the Ole Miss Rebels, but today he got to show off his right arm and throw for a touchdown in the game against the Memphis Tigers.
Treadwell caught the pass from Chad Kelly — behind the line of scrimmage — as many of his catches in this offense tend to be — and he fired it downfield to Quincy Adeboyejo who was left wide open when the defense keyed on Treadwell and he ran 68 yards to the house for the touchdown.
Memphis was a popular pick this week to pull the upset and while Justin Fuente is doing some great things there, the chances of pulling an upset are looking tougher with every play after the Rebels scored on the second play of the game.
It’s tough enough trying to slow down Treadwell catching touchdowns now the Tigers have to contend with the best receiver in the SEC throwing them too!
Memphis was able to tack on a touchdown late in the first quarter to narrow the deficit to 14-7.
