Defensive linemen

Kyle Kragen (California)

The senior defensive end is among the leaders for defensive linemen in tackles, totaling 36. He also gets into the backfield, with six tackles for loss and five sacks on the season. He’s been able to deflect a ball at the line and force a fumble for the Golden Bears. At 6-2 245 pounds, he’s an averaged sized linebacker for some programs, but he’s an attacking end that produces.

DeForest Buckner (Oregon)

DeForest Bucker is an absolute beast on the defensive line that gets after it. He has 36 tackles on the season, 9 tackles for loss and five sacks. He also has the awareness and hands to bat the ball down at the line of scrimmage, deflecting four passes. This is a senior defensive product that will make a great living at the next level. At 6’7″ 300 pounds, you can see why NFL scouts will drool over him.

Pita Taumoepenu (Utah)

Leading the Pac-12 in sacks is Pita Taumoepenu, with six. He has eight tackles on the season, and has six tackles for loss. He’s also forced a fumble as well. Although he won’t rack up a lot of tackles, he will penetrate the line, set the edge and misdirect plays in the backfield, causing mad chaos.
