Corners
Sidney Jones (Washington)
Sidney Jones came into the season with some higher expectations at corner, but he was constantly being drowned out by Ish Adams of UCLA, Adoree Jackson of USC, as well as his own teammate in Budda Baker. But this season, he’s come up clutch for this tough Husky defense.
He only has 24 tackles on the season, but he’s been able to snag four picks and scoop a fumble for a score. Speaking of fumbles, he’s also forced four, proving to be scrappy with some active hands as the receiver pulls the ball in to make a football move.
Dominique Hatfield (Utah)
As for Dominique Hatfield, he gets picks. He’s part of that hungry Utah secondary and has three interceptions on the year. He isn’t a big time contributor for the defense, but he’s able to capitalize and make a play. With just 10 tackles through five games, he’s more of a ball hawk in the secondary for this Utah defense.
