Arizona Wildcats

This is a team that was coming off of the Pac-12 South Championship, that did need a couple of miracles last season in order for that to happen. The Pac-12 South Championship raised the expectations for the Wildcats, but the media was still disrespecting them, by having them finishing fourth and sometimes fifth in the Pac-12 South, again just one year after winning the Pac-12 South.

They cruised by their non-conference schedule for the third year in a row, and then faced up against UCLA, starting a true freshman quarterback in Josh Rosen, with a roster loaded with experience around him. They got throttled at home with college game day on the scene and it was just a poor performance for Arizona all around, which made them question and re-evaluate their expectations.

Another blowout lost to Stanford on the road and this team wasn’t looking so great. They bounce back with Oregon State Beavers and they got to scare from the Colorado buffaloes just this past week. At the beginning of the season, Arizona would’ve been expecting a repeat of the Pac-12 South Championship, or at least eight or nine wins minimum.

At this point in the season, the way their injuries have shaken up, including no by week, this team would be lucky to get an eight wins. Seven wins seeming very doable for this team but eight might just be a stretch. Their schedule is do-able, but they really have to rely on their offense to lead the team.
