UCLA Bruins

UCLA had the most experience returning in the Pac-12, and were poised to make a run for the Pac-12 Championship game. A lot of talent surrounding them, but the true question was their true freshman quarterback Josh Rosen.

He looked great in the first few non-conference games, shredding all of his opponents. But then BYU gave him some panic and showed his inexperience a bit. A week later vs Arizona and they were able to run their offense with ease. And then Arizona State happened, where Josh Rosen got worked by Todd Graham’s defense and you acted like it never seen a blitz before.

Stanford comes out and does the same thing in a must-win situation for the Bruins, and Rosen did not look comfortable in the pocket. Now the Bruins are faced with two Pac-12 losses, and could be on the verge of losing three straight with your upcoming match up with California.

Now, given the talent this team had with Fabian Morneau, Myles Jack and Eddie Vanderdoes on defense, along with the potential of Paul Perkins and Josh Rosen in the backfield, this team would’ve easily been a national championship contender. Now it’s looking like they’ll be struggling for a the third place spot in the Pac-12 South.
