USC Trojans
USC was a team poised for a college football playoff run, finally. The questions were rising about Steve Sarkisian, if he’d be able to bring this team to prominence, after falling short of expectations for so many years.
After Stanford was stunned by Northwestern, and USC lost to Stanford just a few weeks later, this USC team did not look to be going down the right path. Turns out the Stanford is actually a college football playoff contender, but USC lost a bad one to Washington at home.
Then they had they find out that their head coach Steve Sarkisian was asked to take a leave of absence for showing up unfit to work on Sunday and was fired the next day. Their game with Notre Dame immediately after left some question. Would the Trojans come out motivated or completely deflated?
They came out pretty strong and it was close for most of the game. They held the lead heading into the fourth quarter, and ended up suffering their third loss of the season.
This team does not look to be going in the right direction and there seems to be a lot of problems with this USC program. Once deemed a national title contender, this team is headed for the pits.
