Dave Warner – Co-Offensive Coordinator, Michigan State Spartans

Warner is a name you don’t hear mentioned often when coaching vacancies come up, because the Spartans have hung their reputation on defense during the Mark Dantonio era, but the work he’s done as offensive coordinator at Michigan State has been superb.

He turned Kirk Cousins into an NFL Draft pick. Case closed.

Warner is his third season as MSU’s co-offensive coordinator and his ninth overall season with the program. As part of his co-offensive coordinator duties, he also coaches the running backs and previously coached the quarterbacks for six seasons.

This is a solid coach with a no-nonsense approach to the game. Anyone coming from the Dantonio coaching tree should be looked at as a prime candidate.
