The true freshman has been an absolute stud this year for USC. Living up to the big linebacker expectations, showing glimpses of Clay Matthews, Brian Cushing, Rey Maualuga, and so on.

The freshman single-handedly beat Utah on defense, picking off Travis Wilson three times, each of which were super athletic plays. He returned two inside the five yard line, one of which went into the end zone for six. Of his three interceptions, he was averaging 41 yards a return. He recorded 9 tackles as well, one shy of giving him his 4th double-digit tackle game of the season.

He has the potential to be one of the best linebackers in the nation, as a true freshman. He still has plenty of time to make a name for himself, if he hasn’t already. So it’s better to recognize him now and catch on before he becomes a household name.
