They held Stanford to only 31 points, and not many teams have been able to do that, in fact, only two have. Now, Washington will host Arizona on Halloween night, a cold, windy game that has all the makings for Washington to win. They match up extremely well this week vs Arizona, who’ offense has struggled and who’s defense makes anything look good. This is where Washington will get a strong performance from their offense, and their defense will make sure they keep that lead.

Washington Huskies (3-4)

Last week: L 14-31 Stanford
Last rank: 8

Washington’s defense is what keeps out of the bottom three spots of the power rankings. The fact that they can make consistent stops, and give teams a headache offensively, is why Washington will continue to win games.

Yes, their offense is a train wreck, and they offense is so inefficient that it keeps them out of the game when the defense makes all of these stops. Too many times has Washington come back from behind only to fall short, which has been the story of their season.
