There is no greater feeling of helplessness a defense feels than when they face an effective dual-threat quarterback. Defenses have a better chance of coming up with a great scheme against a pure pocket passer. A quarterback that can throw the ball down the field who also possesses the ability to run with the ball is the equivalent of the scariest zombie movie you can think of for opposing defenses.

It took TCU a bit of time to learn exactly how to use Boykin. The Horned Frogs originally thought he would play primarily at receiver but eventually TCU found out they had their quarterback of the future. Prior to last season, the Horned Frogs installed the air raid offense and Boykin has thrived in the open system.

Boykin has thrown for 2539 yards and 25 touchdowns in the first seven games of the season. He has also rushed for 440 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns. He is one of the most dynamic players in college football and the best quarterback in the nation. Despite Boykin’s lean body type, this is one scary dude.
